I just looked up Google for 'cress bug' and found some neat stuff. I'm going to try to locate a photo of a real cress bug. I see what they're attempting, and I think the rope-dub will tie this pattern extremely well, using the right dubbing.
If someone who fishes cress bugs will send me a smidgen of cress bug dubbing, I will tie up some and send them back to try out. Then it can be our secret pattern.
