Monte,

I'm not sure if Bill mentioned it earlier, but Mr. Lemire had Hans on one side of him for this show and a gentleman who ties beautiful spey flies, by the name Wally Nowak, on his other side.

I didn't receive one of Harry's flies, but was fortunate enough to have Mr. Nowak tie one for me, while describing the process in great and patient detail.

Needless to say, that corner held a very popular threesome! They were quite a show to watch.

Thanks for sharing the picture Bill! A little story to relate...

I'm setting up to tie at last year's NW Fly Tyer's Expo with my usual
enthusiasm, not paying much attention to my surroundings. As I begin to
tie my first fly a few people have begun milling around my table and
chatting with me. This is not particularly unusual, but I noticed a
certain distracted look in their eyes. Hmmm.. I thought, but kept right
on tying.

Finally the crowd is swelling, and knowing that it sure as heck isn't to
watch me tie a hairwing steelhead fly, I turn to my right and discover
that Mr Lemire has been assigned the table adjacent to me. Try to
compete with that! There were many outbursts of applause that day, and
while my natural instinct was to doff my cap in appreciation (VBG!), I
reined myself in when I realized it was for Harry.

Thankfully, he was so popular that I profited from the spill-over effect
and had what appeared to be interested on-lookers around my table all
morning. At least they were polite enough to act interested in my stuff.

Harry Lemire is amazing!
