Well Rick, I also am sorry that I won't be able to meet you. And I'm also sorry that I won't be able to meet any of the others at Sowbug this year.
Much to my disappointment, I have found that I definitely won't be able to make it after all. Of course, this was only AFTER I had made all my committments to attend. This sounds like it would have been one of the best ones (for me) for renewing old acquaintances as well as meeting many "friends-never-met". I had especially hoped to try out my fractured Plattdeutsch on Rene. But a family committment has popped up that definitely interferes!
I'm guess I'm really feeling sorry for myself. This is the 2nd year in a row that a family commitment has prevented me from participating at Sowbug.
