I had some really good luck with last year's sulphur hatches by experimenting with different combinations of a thread base and Z-lon fibers on traditional catskill style dry fly patterns. For what its worth, the best combination seemed to be fire orange thread with ginger Z-lon. When it gets wet, the color is right on the money (on the Gunpowder in Maryland anyway), but its all a matter of how thick you lay on the Z-lon which I guess probably can't be quantified in a meaningful way through email. Its something fun to experiment with though.
