Fly Fishing Retreats for Women with Breast Cancer

Casting for Recovery is a national non-profit organization that promotes physical, mental and emotional healing and provides social support to women who have or have had breast cancer.  Each year hundreds of women attend weekend retreats, gathering in beautiful natural settings to learn fly-fishing.  All participants attend free of charge.  The benefits are clear: the casting motions help restore mobility and prevent post-surgical complications, while the social interactions offer women a chance to share, laugh, vent and rejuvenate.  Founded in 1996, CFR has been offering these free retreats all across the country.  CFR depends on local volunteers and organizations to help support these community based programs.
