Subject: [VFB] Language of the vikings
Hi list,
the other day I happend to read an article about the Vikings and their
script language "Runes" which was designed for engraving in stone, bone
and wood. I thought it could be interesting to use it for marking my
knives, rods and so on so I tried to spell my name with it. Then I saw
at a specialist webpage that the Vikings always marked their belongings
with the text ".......... owns me" which in their language was
"........... a mik". Attached you can see the runes for "Soren owns me".
Should any of you be interested to see your own name in Runic characters
just mail and Ill make a translation.
Greetings from the land of Vikings
Soren
