Byard a while back I got on this leader building kick, and you talked me down from the ledge. What was the formula you had for leaders? It was much simpler and seemed like the way to go back then, but I can not find the info now.

I cheat John...I take a Dai-Riki 10 or 12 foot tapered leader in 5X and snip off a bit of the tippet end (just in case the end is weak). Then tie on 18 to 24 inches of 6X tippet. I adjust according to the situation...cutting back or adding on. When the main leader gets back into the 2X range I start over again with a new leader. Usually don't use more than two new leaders per year per line.
