Hi Murf, 

We've all seen the way that some "fishermen" abuse the stream
and the fish.  Since my boxing skills stink, direct
confrontations are verbal more than anything like lobbing rocks
and so on.  However, when we complain to authorities about
abuses, it makes sense to me that the abuses should be genuine. 
It seems like the corn issue might just be a red herring.  

It doesn't seem right to assume that the biologist who did the
study had bad motives or was inexperienced just because the
results didn't confirm the assumption.  In general I think the
fisheries people try to do well, even in PA.  (I grew up there.)

When we argue and lobby for change in fisheries policies, let's
focus on problems that are known to harm fish.  There sure are
plenty of those.  But if we claim that corn kills fish when
that's not true, it will undermine our our credibility and
compromise legitimate concerns.
