Randy.,.. If you are looking for a vest -- don't buy a cotton one -- buy something that won't soak up water.
Among the disadvantages of a cotton vest -- any metal objects left in a cotton vest will rust and it will be heavier to carry when it gets wet. I've owned both -- I'll never buy another cotton one.
