I hope you can back this up with scientific data!! Kind of seems rash that you make this hypothesis without any research data. Maybe it was a slip up, but if you could provide your methodology, literature review or something else along these lines to back up your claim I would like to here it.

And no I am not a BAIT fisherman, fly-fishing all the way. I just hate it when people make claims like this but don't back it up with sound reasoning.

In general the mortality rate for trout is about 70% when fishing with any
BAIT (corn, worms whatever).
