Believe it Lawrence, think about it. The way a trout or other game fish takes that kind of bait (worms etc.) lends itself to injury. By the nature of the way a worm is swallowed compared to the way a fly is taken. Not to mention the difference in the hook and the injury the Bait type hooks do with all the barbs and all. I'm not a bait fisher but used to be... and I can tell you I kill way, way less fish by accident since I've stopped fishing with bait. And I don't need a scientific study to tell me that. Just my $.02...
