Allan: That is a subject of great concern here where I live. I am on the border with the Gila River Indian Tribe and as such it is still untamed territory. There have been a number of small animal ( re cats & dogs) that have become dinner for Coyotes in my neighbor hood which is only about 6 years old. Before that it was desert wilderness. (now they collect $2500 and up a year in taxes) and that for 1/4 acre lots. I get plenty of Gambel's Quail as well as Morning Doves and White Wings as well as the ocasional Coyote. The Coyote's don't come into my yard but they are around sniffing the air for dinner.

She assumed it was on top of some construction : debris (they were doing major remodeling). : : The next morning she found her cat limping out from under the step. : She took it to the vet, who could find no damage other than it looked : like it had been mauled around and was bruised. : : She went back home and looked to see what was in the field that the : cat could have had been standing on. There was nothing there. She : said the cat had to have been in the mouth of a coyote to have been : that high off the ground. : : Needless to say, her cat does NOT want to be outside at night any more. : : : Allan : -- : : Allan Fish : Greenwood, IN : : [EMAIL PROTECTED]
