[VFB] Plans Change

Good morning everyone.  Had a couple of good days fishing. Started out Friday morning heading to Bend Or. to fish the Deschutes. We arrived and the wind was blowing like mad. Tried to fish a little but we just weren't having much fun so we bagged it and headed over to Prineville and the Crooked River (only 35 minutes away). As always the Crooked was very nice, almost no wind and only partly cloudy.  We arrived on the Crooked at about 1:00 and started fishing. There was a lot of midge coming off along with a few May flies. I tied on size 16 Adams and had my first fish within about 5 minutes, a real nice 13" trout that was one of the prettiest fish I've ever seen. Managed to catch about 11 fish by the time we were done half on the Adams the others on a size 22 black and grizzly midge dry. Saturday started with a dry and a bead head PT and caught one nice fish. Midge started coming off real thick around 10:00 or so. Caught quite a few more fish all on the midge, good thing I tied several in the motel room Friday night. All in all it was a good trip even though we changed plans mid way.   Jim
