HEAVENS NOOOO!!!! The feathers should have been placed and tied properly, manipulated and groomed, then put in a frame or case to preserve the appearance. GP crests usually cause the most grief due to changes in humidity, which is why they should be carefully selected and dry-shaped if necessary. If soaked and dried in shape, there's the chance of them reverting to original shape with humidity changes.
