You're right. The run is coming, and after this winter, it never looked so good. I fish for them in the Potomac in the District of Columbia. I use a couple of flies.
Small Clousers, sizes 8 and 10, pink over white, chartreuse over white, orange over white - some days color seems to make a difference, so tie a bunch.
Red conehead with white bucktail and a bit of flash. Also sizes 8 and 10. This one really did a great job for me last season, but it's just as likely I just went fishing on a couple of great days.
