Hi Byard,

Wes's comments are thorough and useful, the treatments he mentioned have worked
for me too. I've also had very good success when I keep the elbow warm during
use. I use a neoprene tube that's like waders except it has fabric on one side
only. It's tapered and about 9" long so it covers the entire elbow. The
non-fabric side goes next to the skin and it's snug but not tight. It's about
3mm thick.

Racquetball was the cause of my pain and it got bad enough that I couldn't hold
a coffee cup. I was convinced that I'd have to quit racquetball. The neoprene
tube completely eliminated the pain both during and after activity. That was
over 20 years ago, and I never had the pain recur when I used the neoprene.

The elastic-type support that Mark D. mentioned may also help, but I've only
used those for ankle injuries not for inflammation.

If you keep the joint warm during use, it will help. Good luck!

Mark
