I also drive a (92)  4x4 Dakota.  8' bed with the 3.8 litre
V6.  Nice truck, plenty of power.  18 - 22 mpg.  It has been
very handy for taking a run to the lumber yard while I was
building my garage, but I don't care for it when it comes to
getting out to the fishing and hunting.  The bed is so long
that there is minimal clearance.  I have just about torn the
undercarriage out many times.  My favorite was my 89
Pathfinder.  Took me everywhere.  She died. Twice.  I will
have another as soon as possible.  Or perhaps an X-Terra.
