Fishing with kids is great, don't get me wrong! But steelheading
the pm wouldn't work. I've got my 8-year old fly casting, and can get some
fishing in with him, but only for short times. He's tying, and doing well
with it for his age.
My 6-year old's attention span for fishing is about 10 minutes...we'll
fish off the dock and the boat more this summer. Rachel (my 2-year old)
will get the mickey pole with the casting piece on the
end...

LOL, Ed. I can understand where you're coming from! My Dad started me out with a cane pole off the end of a dock in Florida when I was not quit 3. I can't recall how many times I heard the story about how he never got his line wet that day because every time he turned around to pick up his rod I was saying, yet again, "Daddy, bobber go bye-bye".But look where I'm at today! Thanks for the memory,
Tyanna

If it was just my son, I'd do it. Unfortunately, trying to fish with a
6 year old girl and a 2 year old girl means no fishing would be done by
me!
