Wanted to share a missed opportunity.

Talked with a flyfisherman at Flyfish 2003.  He was just a little arrogant.  Kept insisting that I should use a "brown" nymph.  On his 73rd cast, he caught one.

I couldn't resist.  I tied on a "fire-tail wooly bugger;" my "go-to fly" when I'm in a pinch. (Recipe available - very simple fly)

First cast, nice one.

I should have just said something like:  Well, like I thought, a darker one does better," then I should have simply reeled in, and walked off.

Unfortunately, there was a second cast.  No fish.  But I DID manage one on my third, fourth and fifth cast.

He was strangely silent as I reeled in and left.
