It stands for Blue Winged Olive. They vary in colour from area to area. But
you can try this dry fly pattern.
Hook - Your favorite dry fly hook size 16 to 22
Tail - Dark Dun hackle fibers
Body - Light greyish olive dubbing
Wing - Any feathers you chose dyed or natural blue dun. I prefer to use
T-base turkey feathers.
Hackle - I like to use a mixed hackle of blue dun and alight dun or tan.
When ever possible I like to blend colours. I believe mixed colours give a
more natural appearance.
