[VFB] Mouserat - was Stacking Hair

With all this talk about spinning and stacking, maybe someone could give me 
advice about a certain pattern - the Mouserat.  Could anyone please explain 
how to get the tip ends the same length, how long are the hairs in the bunch 
you use, and how/where do you bind them along the bunch of hair so that 
there aren't big gaps between them along the hook shank?  Also, do you stack 
separate bunches of hair along the bottom of the shank to make the belly?

I have the "regular" spinning and stacking techniques pretty much under 
control, but this pattern is driving me nuts.  My attempts look like 
something a dog would cough up!
