The Current Argus, one of our local papers had headlines today, " Few fish left in Brantly Lake" read, " Brantly Lake fishing is dead". Basically there are no fish left in the resovour, "Golden Algae" and lack of any significant rain, a 3 year drought and the last fish survey "No" game fish were found. To add to it no minnows or anything else in the lower food chain. There is no estimation as to how long it will be before there is any chance of getting it in shape. This is our closest fishing area, and the only "Lake" in the SE Corner. If you are interested you can read the article at, http://www.currentargus.com/Stories/0%2C1413%2C161%257E9262%257E%2C00.html?
Good news, I made a trade today for a 12' Indian River Fiberglass canoe. Perfect for just 2 and light enough I can load it myself without hurting to bad. Keep Fishing my friends. Jimi
