I would attach the extended body near the middle of the hook shank, yes...and then the wings and hackles like normal. I have seen many caddis patterns that seem to use this method. Good luck with it!! I would love to join up in your extended body swap!

No No don't send my jerky to Troutman ....... I take it all back. I
must be getting grouchy from lack of Jerky.... :( I'll go back to my
rock and behave.
I was just going to suggest to Ken and Chris to check out the article on
depends in a recent fly magazine we read (I think this would solve the issue
of peeing in their neoprene's) but I actually decided to practice some self
control. :0)
