I hope it had silica in it, that's what sand is..., but it is time to get real, it wasn't fine enough to get into the air, it was large grained, and getting completely into a suit is overkill to a ridiculous amount.

On a MSDS for a recent shipment I  got.  Recommended safety gearfor handling:  Respirator or mask, lab coat or apron or safety suit (last option was most highly recommended), gloves.  Anybody guess what this highly toxic material was?? It was cleaned beach sand.  Sorry, I'm not going to wear all that stuff when i go fishing on the beach on the Gulf of Mexico.  I'm beginning to wonder if the toxicologists are writing these parts of the MSDS's or the lawyers.

The sand probably had silica in it and OSHA now has a silicate standard, so safety information would be required in the form of a MSDS.
