Rob, I use an 8wt rod for the heavy bugs, but would like to get a 6 wt for the deep clousers and stuff like the gulley worm. I was very happy the day I discovered that orvis had put tying instructions on the web page for the gulley worm. I have not fished it yet, I have a few readdy to go though. I don't really go after bass until after the hex hatch is done and the bluegills have spawned out.
