A.K. Best in his book "Production Fly Tying" states "I can't understand why the S&M bobbin isn't the most popular one in the world. It has a much better design and enough weight.....allows for fewer turns of thread to hold material.....the tubes are replaceable, and there are two different lengths.....my everlasting thanks.....for turning me on to the S&M bobbin years ago"
