Short version:

Had a great time with Jerry Goldsmith down in Florida. He was a gracious
host, as was his lovely wife Diane. Accomodations- perfect. Thanks, Jerry.

Fishing? Well, let's just say the weather could have co-operated just a wee
bit more. Lots of east winds, rain, thunderstorms, etc. Made fishing the
shallow inshore difficult difficult, if not impossible. I did contribute a
bit of moolah to the local professional guide program, as did Jerry. Got to
fish the Mosquito Lagoon, the Banana River, Sebastian, and other neat
places. Everyone rememember to take along a banana when you go out with a
guide.

I managed to catch a nice ladyfish, some speckle trout, a baby tarpon, and a
baby alligator on one trip. On another I hooked a nice tarpon, but he
promptly gave me my fly back. The offshore trip was the best- a nice
dorado, a very nice bonito, and some rainbow runners.

Jerry was afraid of being outdone by a mountain-type person, so he faked
breaking his elbow the week before I got there. How convenient! We
couldn't even have our casting contests. Poor guy- he really was in dire
straights on the offshore venture, with the rough seas we were in. Everyone
flood his email system with get-well wishes.

We missed out on a few of the trips Jerry planned, due to the weather, but
the guides we did get to go with were very good ones. I plan to have a
guide page put up on my website and list these guides.

Listening to late night radio talk show during a return trip home, I got to
learn all about the lizard-people who are planning to take over the world.
They live partly in another dimension, so we see only their human qualities.
Beware of British royalty- they are all lizard-people! We only have
chuckwalla-people in Wyoming. Agent Mulder, are you listening?

I also didn't get a chance to put the Henshel dual-action reel to the test.
If we would have stayed out longer, I may have tried for one of the big bull
sharks pestering our fish, using this reel on my 12wt. Winston.

One last note. Awesome Hair was king- again. :o)

Thanks again, Jerry.
