And here I thought I was about the only person left using them! I take
some heat from fellow tiers since I don't like the more popular/expensive
wire frame, but the S&M just plain works better with it's heavier weight
and easily controlled tension! I have probably a dozen bobbins of various
mfg, some cheap some not so cheap and the 3 S&M long barrels get all the
work, only use the others when I'm too lazy to change threads. My thanks
to Tom Tully for posting the maker's address, since I was told they stopped
making the long barrel ones. I just visited their web site and found that
they still do, will order some more today!. I have some short barrel ones
but my hands are just too big. These bobbins out tie any I'ev ever used,
hands down!
