Leaving no stone unturned, and no gurgler ungurgled, Jerry has sent the list a terrific list of Gartside Gurgler links...thanks! Andy Burk, a well-known Reno Nevada tyer, also has a version of the gurgler. He uses his much like the UK folk use the booby. Tie it to a heavily weighted fly with about 18 inches of tippet, suspending the fly in the water column. Every jerk on the line makes the fly dive, then float back upward til it reaches the end of its 18" tether. He ties them with and without the tails usually in black or black with a chartreuse cactus chenille body.
