May I respond to this, since I am the point of reference that started it...

First off, "Ruthless", never. Cats as most "pets" come from a "working"
relationship with man. We have 9 cats, 5 are kittens, mainly because we live
in the country. They "Hunt" because that is what cats do. We have a limited
mice problem and the rabbits are kept put out of the garden. As well, we
have "No" snakes to threaten our daughter or her friends, and they always
amuse us with their antics and affection. They all have names and
personalities. They "Show" us their catches / Kills so we know they are
doing their "Job". "Precious" our little Siamese is by far the best "Hunter/
Teacher" for the kittens.

To top it off, they never cease to provide us with a never ending supply of
various colored "Dubbing" material, ( fly fishing / tying related plug).

Jimi, where it was freezing today, got down to 90* for a high....
BUUUUUURRRRRRR

First off, cats are NOT ruthless killers. They unlike humans DO NOT kill for
the sport.

Bullhockey Del! Got 4 cats and nary a morning goes by one of my "ruthless"
carnivores has a present at the front porch. Well, maybe they ain't
ruthless
but just generous. As for the barbs to Ed, you ain't got no room ta talk
boy.
We all get frisky but I'm fixin ta bitch smack Byard around a bit after he
claimed he could easily out cast me last night. Well, he can, but I
outweigh
him by a hundred pounds. That dumd nor'easter thinks he can outfish me on
tricos of all things. Time ta git my wind knots perfected.
