Feel for you and your family Jimi, that's miserable heat...
101 degrees in Bend at 7:45 p.m. - We are at 3600' elevation at the foot of the eastern side of the Cascades Mountains. I can drive 25 minutes west and be at 6,000' foot elevation.

This heat is completely friggin' bizarre!

I know what you mean, we have had 27 days of 105+ temps here in the SE
corner of NM. 21 of those have been over 110, today it was 114*. A friend
of ours removed an old hot tube from his back yard, ask me if I wanted it,
after some "Creative" plumbing, we are using it as a "Cool Down" pool in the
evenings.

We had another "Fish Kill" due to lack of oxygen on the Pecos river below
Carlsbad. They say the temps are causing it.

Need to get the $$ up so we can get out of here and find some water to fish.

Unbelievable record heat in the West today. 103 degrees in Bend OR today. 107 in Boise ID. 106 in Winnemucca NV, 106 in Redding CA, 103 in Bishop CA. Geographically, that's a huge area. (It's 576 road miles from Boise to Bishop).

These temps don't even rate the bottom of the wow scale in NM, AZ, TX,
etc. but danged hot for here! Most houses here don't have and don't
normally need air conditioning.

Hope y'all are doing better and sipping the mint juleps and such...
