Patrick As far as the best swap to join...   pick one with a small number and comfortable amount of time to finish the flies.  Pick a simple pattern and if you run into snags along the way just send your questions to the list and there is always someone who can walk you through or point you in the right direction.  There are a lot of step by step tutorials on line that can also help you.   If you can't find one just ask and one of the many listers will help you out with a link.  This is a great group of people and they share all kinds of ideas and suggestions on the list.
