I had a guy stop by last night to see  if I could go out to a pond witgh him.  My wife told me to get out of her hair (actually she had a meeting to go to).   Went to a pond I had never seen.  I had a fairly small selection of flies with me, but I tied on a Marabou Miss and a PTN as a dropper of that.Took three casts before I found out that everything was fairly far out and would hit only on the drop.   We caught bass and gills on a fiarly regular basis. I out fished him 5 to 2, much to his disgust.  I do think he is going to get a fly rod.   Largest gill was 11 3/4 inches long and very thick.  Largest bass was 23 inches long. I got both of those.   He did say he would go fishing with me again.   Rick
