Mmm. twasn't antifreeze but the related diethyleneglycol. Toxic too though. Sad thing is, they most likely were stupid adulterers, mistaking the molecule glycerol, which also is sweet, occurs naturally in wine, and is a chemical constituent of fats and oils, with (di)ethylene glycol...
