For those who asked, here is my recipe for rainbow
scud dubbing, used for rainbow scuds, rainbow sow bugs and the rainbow warrior
fly (found in the IPS swap pages).
I'll give you the amounts and the exact name
of the brand of yarn I use, but know that any light tan yarn, chunky will
do.
Rainbow scud dubbing
7 inches of light tan Patrons Chunky yarn #2103 (or
any light tan chunky acrylic/wool yarn)
18 inches of Fleshtone nylon tapestry yarn (in the
craft section at Wal-mart) color # 56
9 inches of white Aunt Lydia's rug yarn or any
white acrylic yarn
6 inches of Red Heart bright yellow acrylic yarn (I
believe mine is called school bus yellow)
1 1/2 inches of red Polaraire or UV dub cut into
1/4 inch pieces..add whatever amount works best for you
1 1/2 inches of yellow Polaraire or UV dub cut into
1/4 inch pieces
2 1/2 inches cut across into 1/4 inch pieces
of blue UV dub or Polaraire
Blend in the coffee blender or brush between two
wire bristle kitty brushes.
Any questions, let me know Very cheap to make once
you have the initial ingredients purchased and so easy to make in large
batches. Joyce
