There are a series of Midge pupa patterns that Terry Helleckson
orginated that all use Horse hair for the Quill bodies on them...
Thought I am certian that the Long Horn hair Jimmy D. sent me & some
other folks would work on them perfectly fine...
I also believe there are some flies along the FRanz Pott line of
woven hackle & Woven body flies that use Horse Hair for both
applications...
If you use a Light hair & a darker Hair for the quill body on any
fly you'd certianly have some lovely segmented bodies...wrap the hair
over Flexi-ment & that should secure it well... there's also counter
ribbing with fine wire..
