Jerry,
Albolene is unscented hand cream/cleanser, and it is used as a floatant just like Gink. It also behaves like Gink. In fact, rumour has it that it is one and the same thing, and that Gink is nothing more than Albolene in a different bottle.
I just mentioned Albolene because I used it on my Loon bottles, but I guess any fatty substance (vaseline, ordinary hand cream) will do the trick, too.

What is Albolene?
Steve - I agree that a soft body is better for the initial bite. I use the hard head on barbell eyes, to keep them from spinning, and on the head of larger streamers when I'll be fishing the rocks. There was a marabou minnow pattern in the last Fly Tyer that uses a hard head and has worked well.
Jerry
Had the same thing happen, and when I got a new bottle I put some Albolene on the screw thread of the bottle. End of problem!head
