I FINALLY got to take the leaders you sent to me way back in the spring fishing. My job has had me on the road most of the time since the beginning of the year but I had a vacation trip to Montana two weeks ago. There I got to use your leaders for the first time and you get a BTU, (big thumbs up)! I used the light weight one on a 3wt rod on the East Fork of the Bitterroot one day and while some of the cuts overtaxed the 7' rod, the leader laid out everything from a #22 parachute Adams to a #12 stimulator just fine. The heavier leader was put on my 8 1/2' 5 wt rod and performed just as well. I tossed everything from midges on Poindexter Slough to #12 foam beetles on Bighorn Sheep Creek to big weighted conehead buggers on the West Fork of the Bitterroot and Rock Creek with equal ease. Many thanks! Now for the good part....I promised you some flies in return for your "free" leaders way back when. Now that my job is going to allow me to be home for a while, I can get to that promise. If you'll just send me your snail mail addy and a list of what types of bugs do you like to fish with I'll send you some of my creations to try. Thanks again!
