The fly is called Carty's General Terrestrial

Well NOW ya went and did it Wes!!! :-)  Got me all fired up about a trip to NZ...
Enjoyed your initial report about your recent trip to Sugar Creek  Ranch!  Thanks for the links to the NZ sites and their wealth of information on flies & tiers; great pictures of the flies!  This Peter Carty fellow must be quite a character.

I have an ol' fishing buddy & friend, fellow Nevada escapee, who recently moved to the Bend area.  His wife took a new position with the Forest Service.  Scotty will find something to do there I'm sure, because he's a quality person.  He is one of the most talented fly tiers and fishermen I have ever had the pleasure to know.

When I was doing my Reno thing, I picked up a flier from Sugar Creek Ranch someplace, perhaps at one of the pro shops.  Looks like a nice place too.  Looking forward to hearing more! :-)

Cheers!
