Mike, could it be the Yong thread midge..it was in the flyfisherman magazine
(I'm thinking about a year ago) and is available on the
http://www.flyshop.com and then choose archive and chose Yong or thread. It
is a simple pattern with a thread body that is twisted from ordinary sewing
thread. If you can't find it, let me know. the thread color was summer brown
Coats and Clark thread, if I remember right..and the fly was a winner on the
Provo. Joyce
