new pattern for the records!
Concerning gnats there is such a pattern, the knotted midge. black thread, and one hackle at the rear end of the hook and one at the eye.


I have some of this hooks..... Should play at the vise

funny name, indeed. But no kidding. This is an official pattern from
Goddard/Clarke. I had the German name only by hand, therefore I
translated it back to English.
The pattern has to resemble a scud who is willing to spawn.
I'm now off for some vaccation,. will tie the flies when I'm back.
