Hi Scott, the material I use for scud backs is bronze colored latex which I think is a very good material for this kind of tying. This is the only scudpattern I use and I have found that they work even in rivers and lakes which don�t contain any natural stock of scuds (?). I sent the extra for you to try. Regards Soren
