The 1/8" are recommended for 10-14 size hooks. Did you knock down the barb first? Are you putting them on with the small hole first? Also, some hooks don't take the beads as well because of the bend type.

Living would be easier if men showed as much patience at home as they do when they're fishing.
I am having difficulty getting the beads on my hooks. I am using "Cyclops Eyes" 1/8" drilled for fly tying on #14 and #16 hooks.
Any suggestions?
