The susquehanna(western and Sinnamahoning branches, at least) were high, fast moving, and off color. Still managed to catch a few smallies on olive wolly buggers and clouser minnows, but nothing with any big size. The trout streams were a little fast, but I still tore them up on the fly rod.

Probably caught 30 native/wild brookies(yeah, there IS a differance, native has always been there, wilds have been stocked and those fish have bred...) On top of that, another 15 or so browns, and 4 nice chunky rainbows(browns and rainbows are stockers)

Took a 12 year old attandee of the camp trout fishing for his first time at a nearby hatchery stream open to children 12 years of age or younger. After a few casts with the worm he hooked a 11 inch brown trout and started dancing around with excitement. And after a few more he caught an absolutly beautiful 16 inch palmino trout and literally could not speak for several minutes. I showed him how to clean the fish, and we examined the stomach contents of the trout. Later that night I fried them up for him, and he shared the trout with everyone else.

The next day we went back to the hatchery, this time I brought my fly rod to teach him a little about casting ect. He was really into fly casting, and instead of trying to math the hatch and everything, we were just using worms on a hook.
Man, I would have loved to be 12 with a fly rod. The owner came down and put in 5 MONSTER trout(25-35 inches) for him to catch. We watched them swim around the pools for a long time, and then began casting the worms to them, but they wouldnt bite. Ended up with a small(4 inch) brookie that day, but still had fun, and he learned alot.

I took 2 guys trout fishing one day at my favorite hole, and one of them landed a nicely colored brook trout, about 6 inches. I caught 2 brooks about 7 inches each, and then they started complaining about how this hole wasnt any good. So I took them back to the cabin where they fished the trout hole right infront, they caught 6 combined from there, and I went back to my hole, all alone this time. Caught 15 brookies in about 2 hours. Mainly I used sinking inchworms, bead drowning ants, and black midges. Saw some big browns moving upstream to spawn, but couldnt get them to hit.

Went Coyote hunting twice and I almost shot at one the first day, but it ran off into the woods. Second night we had one come in and someone starting coughing loudly and scared him away. Still had an absolute blast, and cant wait until next year!!!!
