Do I have a very large black cloud hanging over me ????? We didn't get out headed to the "Cimaron" till about 10 yesterday. Stopped in Roswell and did the shopping for the campout, got gas, ($1.63 a gal), and headed north. Just about 10 miles south of Vaughn the right front tire started to throw rubber. Desolate road and after 3 hours a person finely stopped, ( spare tire was real low, 15 lbs. on the tire gauge). He let us use his cell phone to call my friend Dave in Roswell. 6:30 and Dave arrives with some fix a flat and a portable compressor. We decide to head back to Roswell and eat by this time it is almost 9. It's either a hotel or back to the house, we decide home. Theresa goes to get the tire fixed this morning, none in stock so she has to wait for one to come from another store, 5 hours and $75.00 we didn't have and we are back on the road home. By this time it is way to late to even think about going on a 6 hour drive to get to the camping spot, plus the tire took what we had for the trip.
Tired, sore and incredibly frustrated, maybe we can get a chance before the snow sets in, looks like a "Fishless" summer for us this year. Maybe next year will be better..... Dreaming of tight lines........and some sort of Vacation trip Jimi
