Howard
There is a nasty rumor going around that Byard has been
shirking his duties and went off fishing. I can attest to the fact that
he may have been fishing the Little J and the scuttlebut about Howard and
Byard not catching much there was reported by the CEO of LinesEnd. The
good news is that he stumbled into the Murf's camp and was instantly
transformed with Howard into the Dynamic Fishing Duo. Word has it that
those guys caught 87 trout in a two day marathon and Howard finished the week
with 25 on Saturday. The stream must be kept secret as must the flys
involved but if any of you ever get an invitation and are initiated into the
secret society, prepare for a blindfolded trip.
Byard has taken it upon
himself to change the names of the flys and the stream. These names may
offend the purients so the secret must die with us. We can, however,
begin to plan a tying clave at the Murf cabin as the weather chills.
Fireside tying in the winter with some steaming hot vittles, tying demos by
the old timers and maybe even some fishing. Hmmm, should we? You
southerners and westerners ever been to PA? Maybe a spring fling to fish
the blue quill hatch?
