I know there are some great tyers on the list who tye their fair share of steelhead flys. Please join in with your favorite tye or personal version of a steelie pattern.
My go to steelie flys are #18 PTNs in low water and woolybuggers for moderate water. When the water gets high and off color you can catch em with any gawdy crap on a hook. I've said before that my buddies like to tie streamers in their school colors (black and orange for mine) and we laugh about all those steelies who fall for such a pattern.
