Some spectacular pictures of the B and B Complex fire from the Sisters 
newspaper.  Click on the thumbnails for enlarged photos.

The view that awed locals were the big smoke plumes (top row of 
photos).  These plumes soared to 35,000 feet, were clearly visible from 
Bend nearly 40 miles away,  and looked like an erupting volcano.
