Tom Tully: I drove form Ouray over Engineer Pass to Lake
City 3 or 4 years ago. I had my family with me, and didn't
take the time to stop and fish. Beautiful country. Lots of
mountains and streams. Colorado has 48 peaks over 14,000
feet. I better go again, and take the time to do it right.

Greetings Bill !
GREAT pictures! If you're into old mining stuff, you
need to do a trip
down to Southern Colorado sometime. LOTS of old mining
stuff, and not too
shabby fishing either...! :-) Perhaps I'll have the chance
to show you pictures
some time. I spent a month camped out down there around
the Lake City area,
up Henson Creek, and North Fork thereof. First couple of
days were right on
the old Capital City site, which at one time, some guy
intended for that to be
the capital of Colorado. This is just right around the
area where Alfred
Packer did his thing...(ate some folks to survive through
the winter after getting
stranded in the snow on a trip from Ouray to Lake City over
Engineer Pass. It
was an election year, and he ate 4 out of 6 republicans in
Hinsdale County!
:-o
Enjoyed the pictures!
