I've looked at some of these things. The Fishing Buddies have some limitations with float tubes in that they are bulky and tend to catch upon weeds and such. The setup I'd like to see is where the transducer is mounted within the float tube itself yet will not be damaged or scrapped when coming to shore. The LCD screen could be quick-fastened when needed. To me, the importance is not so much as "seeing fish", as to distinguishing bottom structure and depth. Also, I need to find temperature variations. If I had just a small LCD screen that showed depth and temperature...that would fulfill most of my need with a fishfinder.
